Car Rental Insurance

David Furness - Mon 13 Jun 2011

The problems of car rental Insurance……………..

We continually get clients asking us why they can get far cheaper rates on varying non UK web sites, 95 % of the time it is that the rates are offered without Insurance. Clients then book and arrive and have to pay an extra GB(£) 15.00 or so a day for the luxury of Insurance. If you do get a quote please ensure that the rate includes CDW and Theft cover, you will then simply be left with an excess on arrival. You can insure against the excess before you travel at www.insurance4carhire.com/worldwide, this means you leave the deposit with the rental company and if they retain it due to an accident or theft, you claim it back under the policy. A further advantage of this option is that cover includes tyres and windscreens which are excluded from the second option…………., which is to zero the excess at the branch. This can be expensive, usually costing around GB(£) 10.00 per day but the advantage is that you don’t have to leave the deposit on collection of the car, so there are cash flow benefits.

The message of this is check how you are insured BEFORE you travel and if you have any queries, don’t hesitate to contact us, we will be more than happy to answer your questions
